The Triumph Owners Motorcycle Club Glasgow was formed by a group of friends who all rode and shared a love of Triumphs. Since the early 1960s Glasgow always had a close knit motorcycle fratenity.

Of all the marques, one that has stood the test of time is Triumph.

Many motorcyle groups have owners clubs but the Triumphs were not represented in Glasgow. This was all about to change in 2007 when the required number of 20 members was achieved, and with a group of thirteen attending the AGM at Rhyll in Wales official club status was granted.

Our members come from all walks of life and we have only one objective : come along enjoy the fun and camraderie and meet like minded people. The aims of the club are non political and our main aim is to provide a social group for people who share a passion for Triumph motorcycles in Glasgow and surrounding areas.

History of The TOMCC

The Triumph Owners Motor Cycle Club (TOMCC) was founded in 1949 by a group of dedicated enthusiasts around South London.

This soon grew into a major National One-Make Club catering for all owners of Triumph Motorcycles. Whether they be Pre-Meriden (up until 1942), Meriden (the Classic Era), or Hinckley (the latest range of beauties).

The Club is organised both on a National scale and on a local level through its many branches spread around the country.

Each of the branches has its own local meetings where you can meet other Triumph Owners, and many of them organize their own Branch events complimenting the nationally organised events.

The club offers several benefits and services to its members - not least of these being the monthly magazine 'Nacelle' which contains useful hints and tips.

There is a vehicle dating service for those people who wish to apply for original or age related registrations for their Triumph motor cycle (or special).

The club also holds a vast pool of knowledge about Triumphs which is supplemented by the club's library of machine manuals.

The Triumph Owners Motor Cycle Club is affiliated to both the A.C.U. and the B.M.F., which allows members views to be known through the club.

To qualify to join the TOMCC as a full member you must (obviously) own a Triumph Motorcycle of some sort (manufactured from 1936 onwards). However, it need not be roadworthy. Even if it's at the start of a rebuild, as long as you have an engine - and the engine number - you can join!

It needn't be a Triumph production model either, Tritons and other specials are allowed into the club too!

If you don't own a Triumph but still want to see what the club has to offer, you can subscribe to the magazine for a year. Hopefully you will take advantage of one of the many adverts in the magazine and purchase your own Triumph to become a full member.

The club also has a growing number of overseas members so you don't have to live in the U.K. to join either - though a lot of overseas members have had some previous link with this country.
