Branch Reports

Hello All

Well that's Christmas and new year done and well and truly dusted. So I thought I would take this opportunity to update you all on what’s been happening during the ‘quiet’ months. We are one more step closer to our own Triumph dealership opening. Having spoken to Nicole, the marketing manager at Glasgow Triumph, they are hoping to be in by February with a grand opening date of middle to end of March. As with all of these times the opening depends on when they can complete  the building and that is weather dependant but it’s still good news because it means we have somewhere to meet since our spiritual home of the Carbeth Inn was closed down at the back end of last year. We will try and organise a test ride day for TOMCC members only once the dealership is opened.

Which conveniently brings me on to the next topic of monthly meetings. As all of you know since the big C shut down we have been meeting at the Harvester in Hillington every second Sunday of the month. Due to issues with calendar dates and personal events the committee have rescheduled the date for the next two months, March and February. The meetings will now take place on the third Sunday of every month at the Harvester in Hillington.

The Scottish Motorcycle Show is on in Edinburgh in March, I’m sure Triumph will have a big stand there this year if only to show the new bobber and the new speed triple.

Events for this year have been slow in coming in but a few to put in the calendar are

  • Northern Rockers Rumble 5th – 7th May.
  • Summer Camp on Bute 30th June – 2nd July.

If you have anything you think we would be interested in please get in touch.

That’s about it, as the wind and rain batter off the windows we can only dream of sunny days to come and empty roads.

Cheers the noo

Jock
